The OAS Annual Scientific Meetings are held each year and feature scientific programs designed to feature the latest education, techniques, and research in the realm of ophthalmic surgery and anesthesia. We look forward to meeting you in Houston, February 9-10, 2024. 


Invited faculty members are a diverse mix of Ophthalmologists, Anesthesiologists, CRNAs, PAs, AAs, RNs, Administrators, Surgical Techs and more, bringing you a multifaceted perspective of the field and well-rounded educational content.

The purpose of the OAS annual meeting is to educate its members, as well as other interested healthcare professionals, and share information that will enable them to provide the highest level of anesthesia service during ophthalmic surgery. 

The core objective of the OAS Scientific meeting revolves around education to devoted healthcare professionals. We aim to share crucial information that empowers attendees to elevate the overall quality of care provided.

Mr. Harvey has performed over 60,000 blocks and will teach participants the most up to date techniques. Mr. Harvey is a founding member of the Ophthalmic Anesthesia Society and recently served 38 years as the Chief of Anesthesia for the Florida Eye Clinic ASC. Mr. Harvey developed an orbital eye simulator and launched an accredited on-line Ophthalmic Block Training Program, utilizing a 3-D orbital eye model.

What if I need to cancel my registration?

  • Cancellation after January 15, 2024 will result in a full 100% charge. Cancellations prior to January 15, 2024 will be charged a 25% processing fee. 
  • Please let us know as soon as possible.
  • Attendees are responsible for contacting the hotel and canceling their room reservations. Hotel has a cancellation policy that is subject to fees.
